The SAP Mobile Services Client is a native iOS application that derives its user interface and business logic from JSON metadata. This metadata is established using an editor found in either SAP Business Application Studio or SAP Web IDE. It is then transferred to the client employing the App Update service provided by SAP Mobile Services.
Upon connection to Mobile Services, the client is configured with an endpoint URL and various other properties supplied by the user. These properties are typically embedded within a customized URL sent to the user via email. It's essential that the custom URL commences with "sapmobilesvcs://."
When successfully connected to Mobile Services, the client acquires the application metadata and establishes connections to one or more OData services. The OData can be securely stored locally to ensure offline accessibility. The user interface is constructed utilizing the SAP Fiori framework.
This application is considered "generic" since it does not include any predefined application structures or data. Its functionality is dependent on the secure connection of the user to a Mobile Services instance.
